Harley davidson 883 Sportster Custom 2002

please find in this auction my beloved Harley Sportster custom. The bike is a 2002 evo 883 motor and 5 speed box, the standard CV carb has been stage one Screaming eagle Tuned and has the tear drop air cleaner fitted as a aftermarket part.

it also has the benefit of upgraded coils and ht leads for that ease of starting in the mornings. New plugs have also been fitted.

the bike has a number of custom parts fitted, which include as follows:

1) zodiac straight pullback bars, matt black

2) W&W custom forward control pegs

3) streaming eagle slash cut deep tone exhausts, also have a set of slip-on drag pipes.

4) Custom Fastner side mounted tail-light and number plate mount

4) drag specalist skull Derby cover and Points cover from Cycle haven.

5) W&W old school grips.

All the above parts add up to be a lot of money spent on just add-on's for this bike, but I think its enough.

the bike was originally gloss black, its now in custom paint matt black. The paint used is called trimite and is used in the race car industry and is a very hard wearing paint and do's make the bike look very good indeed.

the rear fender has been chopped by 4 inch's to achieve the chop look and trust me ive been around Harleys for a number of years and hardtail chops(please see my other auction) and i know a good bike when i see one, you all wont be disappointed.

1976 HARLEY-DAVIDSON 1000 XLCH

In 1957 Harley Davidson introduced the XL Series "Sportster" motorcycle which looked very similar to the Model K Series except that the 54 cubic inches (883cc) side-valve V-twin engine with its aluminium heads and cylinders was replaced by the 54 cubic inches (883cc) overhead valve (OHV) engine which featured iron heads and cylinders. Otherwise, the 1957 Sportster XL had the same basic frame, engine case, right foot shift, right side drive chain, telescopic front fork, rear suspension and brake drums as the 1956 Model K.

In 1958 Harley introduced the Sportster XLCH. Many sources say the "CH" stands for "Competition Hot" while others say the H stands for "High pressure". In any case, the XLCH is a stripped-down lighter and faster version of the XL, with a staggered dual exhaust and peanut gas tank.

The Sportster XLH was the heavier touring version of the Sportster XLCH. In 1972 the Sportster Ironhead 55 cubic-inch (883cc) overhead-valve engine was beefed up to 61 cubic-inch or 1000cc. In 1973 Harley modified the Sportster frame whereby the cast steel connection node at the top rear of the frame (i.e. underneath the saddle) was replaced by a stamped and welded connection.
